I am officially a teacher. It was a whirlwind. It IS a whirlwind. Friday afternoon, I received a call from a friend who teaches at this school telling me that the Bellevue School District needed to hire another Kindergarten teacher and they were doing interviews that day. I called the principal there at Eastgate Elementary and she asked me to come in and interview. I interviewed an hour later. An hour after that, she called me and offered me the job. School started...Tuesday. It was insane! Matthew and my mom both were SO wonderful. They both spent many hours cutting, helping hang bulletin boards, organizing, hauling supplies in, and so many other things. By Monday afternoon, I had a classroom. It was VERY exciting. School started Tuesday. The first 2 days were really, really hard. It got a lot better after that. Kindergarteners are something else. They have so much energy, are so much fun, and just require a lot of work. But, it's great fun :) Enjoy the pictures of "my cuties" :)
