The 4th of July

So, we decided we wanted to do something fun for the 4th of July. We got together with our friend Emily (and her friend Caleb came) and we set out to find a campsite...not exactly easy the weekend of the 4th. I wasn't totally sold on the camping idea in the first place anyway. Just before it was completely pitch black, we came along a site...somewhere between Monroe and Leavenworth. We settled in, roasted marshmallows, talked until late into the night, and slept on the ... very hard ground :) It was a fun trip. Until Emily found a dead mouse in her tent the following morning!! Eek. From there we packed up and headed to Grandma and Grandpa's lot. That was fun too. We floated the very cold river (although it was probably the highlight of the trip), saw Uncle Scott and kids, our friends left, Uncle Scott and kids left, and Matt and I played UNO late into the night and crashed in the trailer (MUCH more comfortable) Happy Independence Day!
